Everyone has the right to request digital access to a website, mobile application, or one of their elements. It is also possible to request information in alternative forms, such as reading a digitally inaccessible document aloud, describing the content of a video without audio description, etc. The request should include the contact details of the person making the request, indicate which website or mobile application it concerns, and describe how the requester would prefer to be contacted. If the person requests information in an alternative form, they should also specify the preferred format. The public entity should fulfill the request promptly, and no later than within 7 days. If meeting this deadline is not possible, the entity must immediately inform when the request will be fulfilled, which must be no later than 2 months. If providing accessibility is not possible, the public entity may propose an alternative way to access the information.

If the public entity refuses to fulfill a request for accessibility or alternative access to information, a complaint can be filed. After exhausting all other options, a complaint may also be submitted to the the Commissioner for Human Rights.
